Molex Premise Networks have developed a new program for Certified Installer training in Australia. The course(s) are provided by the Government and Industry endorsed training facility Electro-Tech Skills Centre, based in Rhodes NSW.
Election of companies to the program is at the discretion of Molex Premise Networks and acceptance is based upon commercial and technical criteria.
The technical pre-requisite to attend the actual Molex Premise Networks Certified Installer course is the individual to have current ACA License plus competency endorsements for Structured Cabling Systems and Optical Fibre Cable. However two packages are available to ensure installers will gain all requirements to qualify as a Molex Premise Networks Certified Installer.
Courses
Module 1 : is a 5 Day course that provides both Structured Cabling System & Optical
Fibre competency and Molex
Premise Networks Certified Installer status.
A PASS in both competencies and the Molex Certified Installer Exam is required
in order to apply for Certified Installer status.
Module 2 : is a 3 day
course for those attendees that have the two ACA competencies and are
eligible to gain Molex
Premise Networks Certified Installer status. A PASS
with Molex practical sessions and the Molex Certified Installer exam is
required to satisfy the requirements for Molex Certified Installer status.
Attendees
All attendee details need to be complete with ACA license number and detail on competency, if any, attained. (SCS and/or Optical Fibre). Both SCS & Optical Fibre is required to gain entry to Module 2.
General
The courses will conclude with the Molex Premise Networks Exam, which Molex Premise Networks will assess. In both courses Molex Premise Network product (copper and fibre) will be used in all practical sessions. The trainer at the course will make assessment on practical capabilities as lack of skills shown in the full course will result in failure with the ACA endorsements, therefore flowing through to Molex Premise Networks Certified Installer status.
Both courses provide all materials to complete the course including hard and soft copy of course presentation. (Hard copy Technical and Product Catalogues, soft copy installation guides, datasheets, certification files, Certified Installer logos.)
All payments to be made to Electrotech Skills Centre.
